Its highlight is the procession of ordination candidates on elephant backs, blending Buddhist faith with the traditional lifestyle of the Kuy people, the regions original elephant caretakers.

- Day 1: The novices hair is shaved, and a blessing ritual is performed.
- Procession Day: The novice is paraded on a beautifully decorated elephant through the village, accompanied by traditional music.
- Ordination Day: The novice is ceremoniously taken to the temple to undergo the official ordination ritual.
